eye o'newt, a wing o'gnat, steep gently 4 hrs(medium heat)... Seriously, tho' the only future price extrapolation skill I have or employ with any degree of high probability of success is the trusty Technical Analysis future price projection technique called Channel. This TA tool works best in trending markets---which only are occuring 20% of the time in my experience. Murphy (former CNBC) made me aware of the value of this predicting tool many moons ago. 1) calculate angle of ascent on a trending stock's price chart 2) mark out so many days (cls on April 1) on calendar on the horizontal axis, 3) draw 2 parallel support-resistance lines across highs/lows 4) check to see where Angle and Time cross on vertical price axis. Pick a number that you think is close. Submit to observation of others. WAIT.... Some folks use point and figure charts to extrapolate, some use Fibonnaci extrapolations which I'm not totally ignorant of... and others use dart boards or I-ching. Furthermore, I threw on the Bollinger Bands (2 std devs) and kept an eye on the 20EMA smack down the middle of BB's, and tried to stay w/in the upper BB's when I picked my number.
