I switched from Schwab to Yamner early this year and am hesitant to recommend them to anyone just because I like them so much I'm afraid they might become too popular.(Note: I am not a shill; I am quite real. Steve is almost exactly as you would want him to be based on what he's posted here: knowledgeable, friendly, happy to explain things, etc. I switched to Yamner because I wanted Steve and I feel great knowing I have a whole team rooting for me to do well. I think my portfolio is up some %50 so far this year. Yikes. I better insert a disclaimer here. My portfolio is up %50 because I don't diversify, I own one stock and it is up %50 from where I bought it. True, I could have done the same thing with Schwab or Suretrade but I would know far less about the market and have fewer new friends, which I do consider these guys.)
Steve has talked me out of a few trades this year(some that would have gone against me, some that I wish he hadn't talked me out of)--which I find amazing. How many other brokers will actually talk you *out* of a trade, really question your motives, etc? I could go on and on but I won't because, like i said, I want them all to myself.
I *really* like having the phone answered within two rings and them knowing almost instantly who I am, what's in my portfolio, my trading style, risk tolerance, etc.
