Seems like when everybody expects something it has a way of not happening. Traders who have watched ACRO spike at NAB time for the last two years might be set to sell into it and thus hold the price down.

All exhibitors acknowledge that NAB is a huge expense. With more than 1,400 companies showing off their wares, exhibitors have to pull out all the stops, spending a great deal of money on large booths and gimmicks to stand out among their competitors.

"It is an expensive show and we bring out our big guns for it," says Greg Carter, marketing manager for Acrodyne [Booth 13420].

Acrodyne hopes that the money spent on their DTV theater, contest drawing, and direct mail program will attract attendees to their booth.
