Jozef Re "pretty much irrelevant to me as a consumer" Yes that it true. A VCR is a VCR is a VCR - but some people pay twice as much (I do) for a Sony instead of a Goldstar. Let's not forget that it is Intel who is calling the shots and doing the innovation while AMD and Cyrix are merely trying to copy its footsteps. I agree that if CPUs descend to the commodity status of hard-disk drives then the source of the chip becomes irrelevant. But will this happen - what do you think? FWIW: Whenever I feel really bad about my Intel stock a run-up seems to follow in a week or so
