Gerald, Glad to hear about your positive DHT experience. I gave up on paying $8K for one after waiting 9 months and settled for a 60" Pioneer Elite set. Remarkably good for a projection set but not as good as I remember the DHT I saw at Texas Inst. Still, I got my Pioneer out the door for $4500 (thanks Home THeater Store - Preston Road, Dallas Texas - Kevin Klegg) which is a damn lot less than $8K or $10K. I am real long in PJTV because I too believe that consumers will shell out the bucks for a good picture, but I think they have to target $5K-$6K. Your average consumer would settle for a $3000 Sony/Hitachi/RCA/etc. model. Not too many people make enough to be able to afford a Vidikron or Runco model. SOrry about the rambling with no point - just my 2c worth.
