wiley, I think now we maybe talking about different things. P&F charting gives a more accurate picture of supply and demand for a given item such as stock, commodities, etc. As to market direction, it would be more important to look at the bullish percent for the market as a whole or for given sectors. This is not an attemp to time the market but a picture in time of the risk level. Again, I would read Tom's book for a much more comprehensive overview and understanding.Its well worth your time. Hope this helps.
