The Telecom products and services division of Telexis Corp, a Newbridge affiliate, has
signed a $729,000 contract with International Datacasting to design elements of the
Processed Feeder Link Stations (PFLS) to be delivered to WorldSpace Corp of
Washington, DC. WorldSpace will use the PFLS to provide satellite digital direct audio
and multimedia services to the emerging and under serviced regions of the world.
Telexis Corp will design and develop some hardware components and software
modules for the satellite broadcast ground stations.
Telexis, which is headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, is a world leader in providing
networked video solutions. The company develops, manufactures and markets
sophisticated video, audio and image processing products for the telecommunications,
security and remote monitoring markets. Telexis' DSP and ASIC technology supports
a broad range of clients in both the telecommunications and defence markets. |
