MFE probably is dead. With SGI moving over to Intel based Workstations. MFE will have lots of obsolete tools based on MIPS. Instead of sharing the cookies with everyone they held them all and now they have all gone stale. It will take big bucks to update all their proprietary CGI animation tools to work on SGI's new Intel MERCED based workstations. Thats why their development work costs so much. They develop their tools inhouse which adds onto the total cost. MFE's only hope is some company like Lions Gate Entertainment buys them out and infuse them with some cash. cl >>>Looks like this thread is officially dead. They bored us to death......<<<
