Don't think you can blame Karl's statement about retracement to TAVA's short term correction. He was the reporter of a pattern already established, but if you look at his predictions for today, he calls for a rise in TPRO tomorrowcast.com based on bollinger bands. So one right, and one probably wrong.
I too saw the rumor about a private placement, I believe from Toyko Mex's cafe site yesterday or Tuesday. TMEX said he heard a possible placement at 17 to add engineers. Also am aware of Jack's information, so don't know at this point.
I know I will hear the moans once again from the regulars of whining about IR when the stock is down, but it still makes no sense to me to talk of private placements and lament how many companies are unaware of the embedded chip problem when TAVA's IR department seems so unable to get the story out to its own shareholders. I heard John say he was going to beef up IR, maybe he meant the institutional end of things, and I don't have any beef with that. But:
1. What is with NMS? Are we supposed to derive any interpretation regarding how long this is taking other than to blame the FEDs.
2. How many CD's are being bought now vs. given away.
3. What was the response to the recent WSJ ad.
4. What is the percentage conversion pilot to full scale operation.
5. What is the status of alliance with Beck, Keane , Wonderware, Fluor.
6. What is the number of plant sites (generic) being worked on.
7. What number of plant sites have now been designated compliant.
These questions don't require naming of companies - just providing some basic information. It was my understanding at the SHM that John recognized IR's weakness, and committed to "beefing up" efforts. As an SI addict, I haven't seen it, and that's why I, imh (and probably erronious)o, think we are unable to sustain drives for more than a day or two (at this juncture).
I am equally sure this will be corrected, and waiting another four weeks, or four months, is not going to amount to a hill of beans in the heights to which this stock will reach.
