TD to buy discount broker Jack White. This is a highly respected discount broker, that for many years was the #1 rated Discount Broker by several magazines. They are mostly in California, further increasing Waterhouse/TD share in that market.

I see this as a good move, as size is becoming more and more important in the discount broker business.
