There is some precedent here: Steel stocks in the 60's, Pharmaceutical companies in the early 90's: They declined dramatically, as most investors sell when the Administration goes on the attack for Blood. The great companies, like PFE, MRK, bounce back and surge when the heat goes away. I expect the same for MO here. But it may take some time- even a year, especially if Congress doesn't back off a bit. I suffered with PFE throughout 1993 as the Clintons went for the kill and LOST! It was worth it, though. I still hold PFE. If things get even worse,( and they can get worse ) MO may have to leave the country ( a viable option ) and establish their corporate headquarters overseas.
