As noted, the trousers thing seems to me utterly unbelievable. Nine women out of ten would have burst out laughing at such an approach. And then she claims to have said: "I'm not that kind of girl", a line I doubt has ever been used in Real Life.

Okay, get the rotten veggies ready: my own guess is that she really did hope to become Bill's "girlfriend" (as Ferguson reports she said after the meeting), and then he never called her....
