Your observation is right and the logic also seems to be right, but the market has thrown logic away sometime back.
If INTC warns, then at least they are being honest about the state of affairs unlike the Internet stocks which do not have to either worry about earnings or are good cooks with whatever meagre assets they might have ;-)
