Dear Tech Master: Well I have always thought of them as a Tool Company. I think the distinction between them and so called body shops are that the tool companies are pure Y2K plays whereas the body companies have other lines of business and this is just a side line. For instance in 1997 SYNT TOTAL y2k work was only 7% of revenue. That is forecast to rise to 14 and 20% in 1998 and 1999 respectively. As to briefing.com they do not like anybody who is in the y2k business unless it is just a sideline. They have felt that way from the git go and take great delight in saying I told you so. I have emailed Bob asking him to PLEASE MAKE THEM EAT THEIR WORDS. JDN
