Re: SE - Sterling Commerce

I've been looking Investor's Business Daily lately. I see they rank SE at 93 (one a scale of 1-100). By this they mean its history of earnings - the rate that earnings are increasing year by year and recently quarter by quarter - is better than 93% of all traded companies.

As you probably know, from a historical study covering 40 years, they found that most companies that really take off do show this type of great earnings growth right at the time they are about to start a big move. Of course, they will already have done pretty well, as they are gathering steam for an even more dramatic move.

Besides earnings growth, other factors were also commonly present as companies started to make big moves, including having something new. I guess by definition companies that are doing e-commerce have that covered. ;-)
