OK, let's calmly discuss the facts re: Zitel/MatriDigm

I take it there's a general consensus amongst the bulls and bears on this stock that
Zitel's runup and prospects for future growth hinge on its 37.5% stake in MatriDigm.

Seems to me we should zero in on the heart of the matter. In the case of MatriDigm,
the heart of the matter would be it's chief scientist and co-founder, Franklin C. Chiang.

Take a look at Zitel's web site, and the press release regarding the MatriDigm deal. It
can be found at:

zitel.com

Here's an interesting excerpt:

[MatriDigm will utilize innovative and patented technology
developed by Franklin C. Chiang.

Mr. Chiang has spent the last two and a half decades developing
the technology. He previously held several engineering and
technical positions with Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Admiral
corporations. Mr. Chiang's inventions and the resulting patents
are in the areas of character generation on CRT, character
recognition, time domain digital techniques, and NTSC television
standards.]

We can now ask the following questions:

1) Twenty-five years is a long time to develop a software technology.
What makes it so innovative? Since it's patented, it should be
available for public review. Why isn't the patent # mentioned in
any of the Zitel/MatriDigm literature?

2) Who is Mr. Chiang? Has he been published or written up anywhere?
*Exactly* which other patents did he contribute to (i.e. the patent
numbers)?

If anyone out there could help me answer these questions, I'd be most
appreciative. Before I started shorting this stock, I tried to
track this information down, and for some odd reason, I couldn't seem
to find anything on Mr. Chiang. My letters to Zitel also went
unanswered. Needless to say, this raised my suspicions about the
deal.

Maybe some of you long on this stock have some more information; if
so, please post it here, or feel free to email me.
