Technology Stocks : Viasoft is an excellent stock, but what about the company?

It's a big problem.

It's true that most companies will do it themselves. Some will buy Viasoft tools and some will ignore tools or use other tools. Nevertheless, the market is big enough for Viasoft to prosper. We just bought a house, so we don't own Viasoft anymore.

I'm not a short term technical trader, so I won't guess where the price is going. It's a dangerous game and it's very easy to get burned. Momentum investors have latched onto the stock, so it's likely to gyrate wildly. In the long run, I think it'll go down. Of course, I thought that Netscape would go down, too.
