Dear Norma,
Re: the boasting comment. Thought that likely the case.
No I do not have to protect the system, it has it own methods. It is my personal conviction that I dislike seeing it abused, "inside" or "outside". Do know it happens, but also know that more are caught than get through the wicket. I absolutely am not a lay person to how the system works.
Agree with you about preconceived ideas, but believe well experienced trial lawyers on both sides are known to have the proper questions to determine that. The only way it might happen would be that all strikes have been exhausted before the complete selection process is completed.
Agree with the good defense statement too, however Court-appointed attorneys are paid by a scale. If it is a long trial can present problems for some with regard to their offices.
Like all, I am patiently waiting to see the outcome so the company can tell us what has transpired with regard to everyone's concern. Right now I believe that to be privileged information which they are unable to release because of the litigation they are involved in. There really is much to our system the lay person is not aware of.
Also wish I had been able to go watch this trial. I agree it would have been interesting. Gemini myself so there are always two sides to be heard. Hope it happens here on this thread, because I think it would be interesting to hear also. Karen Lacy stated it took four years for her to be found not culpable. That is a long time, But sometimes that is just how our system works.
If you have disrespect for the system, you must have your own reasons and I respect that. Having been around the system as long as I have, understand a little better than most the good and bad things that can occur, "inside" and "outside" of the system. Might see me at a football stadium, but never at the races. As strange as it may seem to you, we have never been to a track in our lives. My animal lover beliefs disagree with its existence. Goes for dogs too, think that is cruel.
Thanks for letting me know. I have enjoyed reading your posts.
Maybe some day will see you at the craft store, I do go there a lot.
My regards,
