When IBM, HP, and Compaq are all selling their servers at discount prices, what company would you buy your servers from..Dell??? Also, factor in that these three companies have the services to support you complex networks, workstations, servers...

Dell needs to stay competitive, and in order to do so it must cut prices as well. I don't know if Dell is cutting 15% across the board because it feels the pressure from the big three, but this makes sense, logically, regardless of what Dell is publically stating.

Irregardless, of a price war...Dell should be one of the companies to end (stay) on top.
