Denison Mines Limited Don Campbell Vice-President, Marketing and Special Projects (416) 979 - 1991 ext 238 NEWS RELEASE TRANSMITTED BY CANADIAN CORPORATE NEWS FOR: DENISON MINES LIMITED TSE, ME SYMBOL: DEN APRIL 2, 1998 Denison Reports On Exploration Plans In Greece TORONTO, ONTARIO--Denison Mines Limited reported today that considerable progress has been made in plans to carry out exploration drilling west and south of the existing oil fields in Greece where a 155 square kilometre 3-D seismic program was completed in late 1997. Interpretation of this 3-D seismic has located four more oil and gas prospects in the exploration area where Denison has a 51.56% interest. These four additional prospects appear significantly better and two of them appear larger than the two previously reported prospects which are closer to the Prinos field. Two of these new structures have been identified as large reef complexes. As a result of the success of this geophysical work, the Consortium partners, at the Operating Committee Meeting held earlier this week, unanimously agreed to proceed with the drilling of two exploratory wells, subject to the confirmation of certain technical matters and the finalization of the necessary agreements.
