I agree. The issue is not why he left IBM, the issue is why he chose WAVX. I think we can agree that he did not leave IBM under negative cirucmstances. WAVX would not want somebody like that if they intend on doing future business with IBM. Accepting this as a base assumption, we can also assume that he could have gone to alot of different places, IT companies with billion dollar market caps, or he could have gone into consulting. But he chose WAVX. Why would he do that unless he thought that growth would be rapid and in the near future? He must see opportunities there. I could not imagine him joining WAVX if he thought it was going into the crapper soon. And he is too old to want to take part in an endeavor that would take years to unfold. Maybe I have some type of age bias or something, is that the flaw in my reasoning?
