John: re "With Apple share down to 5.?%, who has the other 9.?%?" Maybe that part is split between cyrix and the asian gangs that sell gray market pentiums. The 85% number I pulled out of my %&$#. A news article in the WSJ today indicated that worldwide pc sales growth was only 16% in Q3, but that the Q4 and 1997 looked better. If this is true then intc's Q3 profit was just okay and Q4 and all of 1997 should see improvement. Can't wait. Best Regards Greg Gimelli
