Lucent Technologies (NYSE:LU - news) advanced $3 3/8 to $69 7/16 as the company said it will use technology from telecommunications software and chipset maker Aware Inc. (Nasdaq:AWRE - news) for Lucent's digital subscriber line (DSL) chips. Also, the company's two-for-one stock split becomes effective after the market closes today. This should make AWRE share holders happy. Greg
