Cable & Wireless Communications Chooses dba SmarTalk to Bundle with Featured Network
Service Offering

dba Telecom Corporation announced today that Cable and Wireless Communications, the UK
operating arm of Cable & Wireless PLC, one of the world's leading providers of international
communications services, has chosen the dba SmarTalk NRG multiline telephone and SmartCAP
Centrex operator console to bundle with its Centrex service offering in the UK. Shipments will
commence later this month. Cable & Wireless Communications serves a rapidly growing base of
more than 130,000 small and medium sized business customers throughout the UK.
As a key element of their network services marketing strategy, Cable & Wireless will position the
SmarTalk NRG and the SmartCAP as flagship products for the Cable and Wireless Small Business
Centrex Service. Packaged as an integral part of this network based service, the dba SmarTalk
and SmartCAP products will be offered to Cable & Wireless customers under a uniquely
competitive rental program that bundles the hardware with the Centrex service line rental.
