I don't think there has been a big "abandonment" on TDW by investors or funds. The chart looks better than many others in the sector. The jury is still out on whether TDW will lose market share, see day rates soften, etc. i recall they are well positioned worlwide and what may or may not happen in the gulf remains to be seen. This is a company with a powerful earnings history. I'd hardly call it a "dog". If one could reduce one's basis to "0" over the course of a year or two and still hold the stock...why not?

I don't follow your reasoning on this one. I percieve TDW as the #1 boater in the world. i think they will do well over time.
