<< I'd much prefer that politicians of both stripes occupy themselves with meaningless things >>

You are in luck. There are countries, such as Cuba, North Korea, Iraq, Iran, where you can find that type of government. Though, I don't know how much difficulty you would have getting a visa.

<< I must admit that it's truly touching to see someone like you with this much emotional attachment to a politician (in this case, the president). I'm amazed... >>

Actually, my feelings are more of gratitude to President Clinton for the good job that he has done, rather than an "emotional attachment", but label it any way you choose.

I am also pleased that the "radical right" has been kept at bay. I'm sure that you will agree that we need strong leaders, like Clinton, to keep these fundamentalists away from political power.

Regardless of your contempt for our political system, the U.S. still has one of the best political systems in the world, and the majority of people, in this world, are living in freedom because of the strength of our system.

I think that we all should have an "emotional attachment" every time that we see our flag waving in the breeze.

Regards, Bob
