Joe-

Was in Savage today and checked out the greenman plant there. This is the
operation they purchased from BFI if I remember correctly... The plant is open
and operating, they have appx. 20,000 sq ft under roof, and it is located on
appx. 4 acres of land.( Don't know if they own or lease). The process is very
quick. They can chew up alot of tires in a short time. Talked to line
employees first-walked right into thier lunch room!!-they said they ship all
their rubber "pellets" to NSP(local power company) and it is used as fuel. i
asked if any was shipped to other places and they said that occationally it
goes out , destination unknown by them...I'll dig a little deeper on if NSP
pays them for the rubber fuel pellets or not.
On to the office i went-said I has 30000 tires i needed to dispose of. how do
i do it and what will it cost?? Front desk man said all sales and management
people were in LA. and would be back on mon, but he would tell me anything he
could to help me.(office and grounds pretty clean considering the type of work
they do).
They would charge me $74.00/ton to take the tires off my hands-no freight
included-
he also said all recycled rubber goes to NSP to be burned for power. There are
a few more things that I saw and heard but I don't want to make this thing 10
pages long. any specific questions just em back and i will try to answer.
Below is recap of my thoughts-need to do a little more homework to totally
digest
1. They are open and operating.
2. Sign out front and on buildings says Greenman Tech........
3. Employees were helpful, very nice, and open with questions.
4. Saw trucks full of tires coming into plant that i see at every tire store
in town
5. Plant employees-appx 9 Office staff- appx 5 Remember no sales or
management people were there, they will be back on Mon. And i should call back
for more info if needed on mon.

Let me know if you are interested in anything else i dig up......
