Kerm Yerman, Richard Saunders, Bobby Yellin, All:

Bobby, whom I know in a different universe, convinced me to investigate this site. I have spent the better of the weekend reading nearly everything posted from message 1 on. This is one of the very best investor sites on the Net, in my opinion. There is consistently high quality of background information, company specifics, and inter-personal relationships.

My primary expertise, if I have one, is in the commodities and metals areas in which I publish, but I try to keep non-middle east oils always in my portfolio. I have followed and added to International Pete (IRP, IRPPF) for three to four years and have seen the posts here. My attraction to this Swedish/Canadian company run from Switzerland (!) was its enormous land (water) holdings worldwide some of which are finally coming to fruition.

Another is Seven Seas Pete (SVSE Canadian OTC), which is a US company, also with big holdings and a strike in Colombia. When President Tim Stephens left a secure management position with Enron to go to startup SVSE with two young children and another on the way, I knew he'd spotted a winner!

My last success is Pogo Producing (PPP on NYSE) which got rid of its debt and persistently pursued Gulf of Mexico and Permian Basin acreage while leveraging up with partners, several of whom it has bought out, in the Gulf of Thailand where both pipelines and markets are readily available.

It's getting harder to buy now after such runs in these and most other energy issues, but I am hoping to learn of undervalued exceptions on this wonderful site. Thanks.
