I hope the assertion that Netscape is releasing astounding earnings and favorable research reports just to give management an opportunity to bail is and attempt to influence current sharholders to sell their long position, rather than a conclusion reached by unbiased observation. J. Clark left a very sucessful company (SGI) ,which he also founded, to start Netscape with M. Andreesen who helped invent the browser. I can not even imagine what AT&T recently offered J.Barksdale to turn that dog around. Just the fact that he was on the short list, nevermind most likely their top choice, is testimonial to his ability to formulate and implement sucessful corporate strategy. Given the quality of Netscape's management,I guess I would need more proof of fraud then positive research and great earnings to back it up.
