<< On what basis do you determine whether Clinton (or any other president for that matter) is doing either a good or a bad job??? >>

President Clinton implemented a higher percentage of his campaign promises than any other President in modern times, despite being the minority party in power! He was elected and re-elected, in part, because of his platform and accomplishments.

Here is a well written evaluation of the Clinton Presidency: If you want more, let me know.

<< Actually, the countries you listed argue in favor of *my* point, not yours... In those totalitarian countries, the politicians have absolute control and on a whim can do anything they damn well please. >>

You say that you would like to see our government rendered useless and thus do nothing worthwhile for the people. I compared that type of government to the totalitarian governments who do very little for the people of their countries.

If you think that this is an argument in favor of your point, perhaps you'll explain what good would come if our congress shut down.

<< Also, it's nice to see that you display such "tolerance" for views other than your own by suggesting that I somehow don't belong in this country... >>

I only "suggested" those countries, because you seemed to prefer a government that did nothing for it's people. I never said that you don't belong in this country. I guess by falsifying my statement, you have won another point. <g>

<< mainly because it diffuses power so much that it is difficult to change things, again arguing in favor of *my* point... >>

I want to congratulate you on declaring yourself a winner on so many points! I am really impressed! <g>

Your original point, which you so conveniently changed, was that you want our government to work on meaningless things. So, I guess, you would not like our government to work on balancing the budget, or reducing the size of government, or saving Social Security, or improving our criminal system, or improving education, etc...

I guess you win another point! Way to go!

Remember one thing: "Be careful of what you ask for, you might get it!"

Regards, you big, bad point winner, Bob
