I have done a little research on my own but don't have a handle on the cost nor the required hardware. GTE indicates ADSL will be available in my area within the year and says it will be competitive with cable. Unfortunately cable is also not yet available in my area. The GTE site indicates the service will be $125 per month. I don't see how they believe this is competitive with cable modems. To my knowledge cable modems are $40-$50 per month including the Internet service. Zeuspaul
