Another piece of bread ripped away from the loaf as Jim bit into it with his teeth. And the last of the fried chicken was dispatched just as quickly.
As he chewed the silhouette of Flickerful filled the doorway - chicken grease and potatoes sat heavy in Jim's stomach. The right side of his mouth twitched as he chewed the hard bread. And all he while he kept his right hand on the ebony handle of his colt 44.
Where did she get those chapps? he wondered as she stepped into the room.
