what I don;t understand from your numbers is if you add up the 1997 numbers, it is far less than the number of handsets built by QCOM in that year? Since we didn;t hold inventory, and it is about 2MM-3MM larger number (QPE ran at about 300k per month or greater for most of 1997 and finished the year at 500k+), what do you think the carriers did with those handsets?

Also Korea shipped more than 1MM handsets in 1997, so where is this total? I think this gives you somewhere in the total of >5MM handsets in 1997 alone.

What date is on this article? Was it written in 1995? I sorry, but your article just doesn't add up.
