Pat,

<<Is this the first time the Board has gone 24 hours without any new messages?>>

Some of us have had to return to "real" jobs for a while. <g>

I did run across a couple of interesting tidbits in the industry magazines, though.

There is a VERY good picture of a Brocade SilkWorm on page 130 in the March 30th issue of Information week. It is in their "What's Hot" section. The price quoted is $1,875 per port.

GartnerGroup is presenting Dataquest StorageTrack 1998, June 10-11. One of the conferences is, "Enterprise Storage Connectivity/High-end Switches". The speaker is Bruce Bergman, president and CEO, Brocade Communications. gartner.com I don't usually read these things, but this one looked like it was targeted toward storage.

I also saw an interesting comment from someone on the Yahoo board who had talked to Steve Snyder. "Steve said they have cleaned up the balance sheet pretty well, but not completely, so we may see a few charges for obsolete inventory. I got the impression this was small & uneventful." Due to the lack of significant (positive) announcements during Q1, I am still concerned that the Q1 numbers might be light.

Craig
