If you go to the QCOM website and read the the 1997 Annual Report Summary this is the number they are giving. I assume this is at the end of 1997, and that these are actual subscribers, not the number of handsets in existence.Sounds about right, I think. There were some 5-6 million in Korea, 1.5 or so in the US, and I'm not sure about Hong Kong. Let me know if I'm way off. Even if the total is 10 million, there are so many other approximations involved in this calculation it doesn't really matter. Now if you say there are 20mil, or 3 mil,that would change things....Dave
