If you think about if Korea (down 4.5% last night) who is the # 11 economy can cause the Dow drop to 6,700 from 8,200 what will Japan #2 do to the markets? Drop the dow from 9,400 to 6,000 in a month. The margin calls, derivatives unwinding, liquidity problems as everyone cashes out would be unprecedented. And no matter how much the Chairman of INTC and IBM buys back their stocks they won't be able to stop it. Look for another round of devaluations in Asia, the depegging of HK $ and devaluation from China. I just put in an order for 10/98 puts @ 55 on EK for $1. Still have my CMB & BT 1/00 puts, may buy some AOL puts 1/99 or 1/00 way out of the money.
