I have a concern now that ESCMF (ESC Medial Systems Inc.) has FDA approval for thier Non-invasive pulsed light device, PhotoDerm for use in treating pigmented lesions, such as sun spots, age spots, and birthmarks, as as well as multicolored tattoos. Photoderm PL is similar to but not the same as a laser. The benefit is its ability to treat pigmented spots and tattoos with fewer adverse effects such as traditional laser treatments. Also clearance of the lesions can be achieved after as few as two treatments. The new procedure is non-invasive, no cutting, minimal pain and rapid treatment. I received the foregoing and more from PRNewswire. How will this cut into PMTI profits is my concern? Any thoughts?
