I spoke with my contacts at EMC today and they indicated that pricing pressures from
IBM have leveled off in Sept. More importantly they said that IBM's Seastar
will be put off till at least 97.

The market seems to be concerned that as more companies migrate to client/server
EMC will lose its competitive edge. I feel quite the opposite. EMC recently
announced an aggreement with Oracle to jointly market their products. With ORCL's software and
EMC's storage they can go after the big boys who have been reluctant to move because of the
tediously slow transactions rate of C/S.

The future looks great for EMC. They still dominate the mainframe storage biz, they are
improving rapidly on the symmetrix product, and are moving aggressively into the traditional
STK tape busines. Many companies are choosing disk over tape.

Let the momentum guys get out. From weak hands to strong. If the next quarter
comes in shy.... .33 or .34 buy like a banchi on any selloff.
