I have a lot of problems with this test and its results, the biggest being who was there. They invited 8 participants and only 2 accepted. Where were some of the acknowledged leaders in this industry? I think any comparison of gateways is imcomplete without Clarent, Vienna, Array, and of course FTEL, not too mention several others. Far to much import is being given to this article, without truly finding out who else was invited and why they declined, IMO. Until then my take on the article is like the Super Bowl:
8 teams are invited to play.
Green Bay, Dallas, San Fran, Denver, Pittsburgh and New England all decline.
New Orleans and Seattle accept.
The game is played, but the quality of the participants dictates the quality of the game. |
