Winer,

You always have the info. These were fairly objective articles, I am surprised.

But

It is bizarre that a group of uneducated, inexperienced, hypocritical idiots can form some "council" and claim to represent the citizens of Newfoundland. This BS stems from the media's support of environmental activists by referring to them as "environmentalists" to manipulate the general public into believing these a-holes have some qualifications to support their own personal vendettas. To think the courts waste time on these totally unsubstantiated claims is frightening.

I also challenge anyone to a bet that production will not happen in the Year 2000. Even INCOites are not stupid enough to believe that. I say 2003. How 'bout you.

Apparently the smelter is a game? Rather than a legal agreement. You tell me who has what to loose. The Newfoundland government with Hibernia, Terra Nova, Lower Churchill etc. and the highest projected economic growth (sans Voisey). Or the floundering "nickel giant" with a 50% reduction in market cap in one year and nickel prices 25-35% less than internal projections.

Only one group truly "needs" Voisey.

BTW the Lower Churchill kills about a dozen birds with one stone. Most of which are concerned with deferring attention of many parties away from the Voisey project.
