I would say you are too old to gamble. Being 12 years old , Alex has a lot of
time. Time is money. If you buy 100 shares of MSFT 10 years ago, it is now worth
more than
three millions, so being 12 years of age, alex can hold his CPQ for at least 60 years,
so, do your calculation. The older you are, the risky it is for you to gamble, since your
time to hold the stocks is limitted.

I would say the key word is "IF". If you bet the ranch on the Broncos, if you owned Snapple a couple years ago, if you owned Intel in '96, If you were 7'6" and played in the NBA, If is exactly that, meaningless. If is 20/20 all the time, its speculative and a 12 year old should not be asking strangers questions over the web, you have to analyze investments for yourself. MSFT is 1 stock out of how many, what if he bought Starter (sym:STA) or Casino Magic(CMAG), to point out MSFT 10 years ago is a STUPID comment.
And if you figure out how to "buy" MSFT 10 years ago, let me know. I will assume you mean BOUGHT.
