ShamukE: Yes, I agree, it is another variable (the split) to consider which could play into the risk assessment.

In your example, I think it would depend on whether the investor was allocating his/her portfolio, relative to Lu or any other stock or class of investments, on a "# of shares" basis, or on a "$ value (or) % of assets" basis, in which case the split would have no effect.

You make an interesting point, ShamukE; good food for thought.
