Castlewood has alliances with Aiwa and Sanyo to manufacture and OEM the Orb drives. I doubt the Syquest lawsuit will have any material effect on Orb, as I compare it to the very similar lawsuit Iomega has against Syquest regarding the SyJet. It hasn't affected it one bit. The 4.7 Gig Quest indeed was supposed to use MR tech, but it was shelved. Too bad. It really could have become a popular device in multimedia studios. But the Orb drive offers similar performance at 1/3 the drive price, and 1/3 the media price (as measured by cost/MB). Orb should prove very popular in the core market for these devices- power users.
