AMD on copper technology for K7 in 97 annual report "The business plan for Dresden Fab 30 calls for the successful development and installation of 0.18 um process technology and copper interconnect technology in order to manufacture the AMD-K7 beginning in 1999." [AMD will fabricate 0.18 um copper-interconnect K7 independetly of IBM fabs, the K7 development is going well, on track according to plan]
