Greetings From The R L District...

Well, XCIT seems to be taking a bit of a breather after its
stellar performance this week--so many press releases, so many
new deals. But, SEEK seems very active--heading toward 4 million
shares again today. CNBC re-surfaces the Time Warner rumor.
Somebody says that Cramer was covertly talking about SEEK
this morning when he talked about the Dow reaching 9000 and folks
rotating dollars into underperformers in a given category.

( BTW, a colleague of mine had supper last night with Jerry Yang,
he of Yahoo!-over-$100-a-share fame. The colleague mentions SEEK
and being a SEEK-holder. To which, a VP of Yahoo says, "Heck, they
seem like a great buy to me." Just an aside. Note: I never get
invited to these free dinners. )

Am glad to report that our group has just launched a new
e-commerce PC company specializing in the "under-grand" category.
See write up in this week's PC Week. I won't mention their name,
'cause that would be shameless self-promotion.

Back to the SEEK/Time Warner rumor. I sometimes wonder about
rumors. Perhaps, this one is fed by the fact that CEO Motro used
to be at CNN Interactive. And this week CNNfn cuts a deal with
SEEK "push" spin-off, NewsReal. Mightn't it be that some "insider"
heard that SEEK was talking to Time Warner, when in reality it was
SEEK's spin-off talking to CNNfn. Certainly, this kind of wire-crossing
has happened before. Time will tell. In the meantime, we profit,
yes? Yes.

Best Regards From The Best Little District in Texas,

c m
