My point is that the stock has a relentless rise based on the belief that the company was great. OXHP gave of some teltail signs, a tip off if you will. Like, as you say, competitors were having trouble. The stock had what should have been good news and did not make a new high, Finaly, the stock cratered in one big move.
This has happened may times before. The circumstances are usually differently the same, If you can understand what I mean here. (investors got carried away with their own expactions, and it all got out of hand.) When the *&^% hits the fan, the stock gets killed quickly.
We can refenence everything from buggy wips to IBM in the 80's DEC, Wang. ORCL, OXHP, Iomega is a clasic. It does not happen to all comapnies, But the ones that get ahead of themselves and develope a cult following as, I call it, it happens to them.
I think it will happen to DELL.
