KDFW / FOX Television and Comark Sign DTV Transmitter Order
BUSINESS WIRE
Thu, Apr 02 1998

SOUTHWICK, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1998--Fox Television Stations of Dallas, Inc. has signed an order with COMARK Communications, Inc. for the first DTV transmitter bought under an agreement signed September of last year. KDFW-FOX 4 will be the first FOX O&O to go "on-the-air" with a full-service digital transmitter. COMARK is proud that this FOX first is an "AdvantageTM" transmitter product.

Under the terms of the September agreement, COMARK has offered FOX's O&O's with both digital and NTSC (analog) transmitters through the year 2002, and extended a specially negotiated offer of DTV equipment and services to FOX affiliates. COMARK and FOX are creating a joint "technical working party" to help define the network's DTV requirements and establish implementation and integration requirements. In addition, Comark Digital Services (CDS) has extended to FOX an offer to provide turnkey solutions to its digital television needs.
