I believe there can be only one reality- one ultimate truth- but how it appears to someone will vary according to the person's perception...and that perception is formed by many factors, passes through many filters- basic personality and nature, upbringing, life experiences, chosen beliefs and the immediate situation surrounding each moment. Maybe we just have to allow for two definitions-an external and an internal, for none of us sees in the same way. Just as I believe that happiness is often a choice, so is how we see our realities. And you and I, while certainly not denying the presence of evil in the world, choose to focus on our children's hugs, the joy of exchanged smiles, the creating of an environment of joy and laughter. If I focus too long on ugliness, I lose my ability to see beauty. Eat your heart out. My laundry is ALL done.
