One thing that is not the same in 1998 as in 1932 - Germany is not being sucked dry by having to pay tribute according to a treaty of Versailles which was controlled by a bloodthirsty and vindictive Clemenceau who prevailed over Lloyd George and Wilson to extract maximum pain from the German people by making its currency worthless and paving the way for Hitler and his gangster buddies.

That's just the first thing I thought of - It really is the question of the decade.
