ISDN is merely an interim step..... As more people get online the congestion will not be reduced by ISDN, it will be increased. The bottleneck is not at the user end it is at the "backbone" and router intersections where the internet addressing and routing takes place. ISDN does not solve the routing problem. As a means to send and receive packets faster, ISDN is nothing more than a souped up (and expensive) 14.4 or 28.8 modem. With access to the cable and fiber transmission lines we wil have speeds that exceed 100 times faster. ISDN is at best a short term play (2-5 years max). Mike Byrnes mbyrnes@tpoint.net
